Amelia was sent on her last day because she tripped over the ga ga pit wall - she had a scrape - no big deal - they cleaned it up and put a band-aid - she said everyone was very kind.

Clara was feeling overwhelmed by the heat and ended up struggling so she was sent to see the nurse and given gatorade and time to cool down/relax. It would have been nice to receive a quick email letting us know.

My camper requested ibuprofen for a headache. She cannot swallow pills and was told there was no liquid form of ibuprofen. She was offered liquid Tylenol. For her, Tylenol is less effective for headaches. I was disappointed that camp did not have liquid ibuprofen on hand and suggest adding that to the medical center asap.

Bumpier this year to get all the information in the right place . Lots of back and forth . Someone called me in past years and it was easier then going on the website over and over trying to figure out what exact wording was needed

Written communication needs to be provided when a child requires medical care, such as an incident report. My child required a stay in the med center for a significant episode. Though I received a call, I was not given "discharge papers" with her vitals, what care she received, nurse's impression, etc. This would have been helpful as I needed to follow up with her pediatrician. This is not to say that the care was subpar or staff was less than stellar, they were excellent. However, written communication of an incident has always been standard at any camp we have attended.

I gave detailed written and verbal instructions regarding Lizzie's medication dosage and one medication was given incorrectly all week (half a pill versus the whole pill). While not a huge deal since it is just for ADHD, it does concern me that other camper's medication may have been given incorrectly. Please double and triple check dosage with parents and even call prior to first dosing to ensure it is correct.

We, thankfully, didnt have to consult the medical care for anything other than daily/PRN meds. But the process was clear, well-run, and extremely organized. I appreciated the attention to detail with check-in and out.

Neither of our sons were aware that the clinic was open 24 hours so waited through the night not feeling great (both came home with colds which was to be expected with so many kids all together)

Some of the counselors crushed my daughter's medication while trying to open the packet and poured it into her hand for her to take. She is able to open it herself. I think it may be better for her to open the lactaid herself.

Would have been good to be notified if my child came in contact with sick kids or had a covid or strep exposure. You keep strep tests and should still keep covid tests too

Hi All, thank you so much for caring for Ames with her bullous impetigo. I appreciate you taking her to urgent care. There was one moment when she said she was quarantined in a room for 3 hours without communication. The girls were crying and scared. Just wanted to see if that piece could be tightened up in the future. Maybe more communication on why they were there and some frequent check-ins to let them know what was going on. Thank you!

It's amazing what the medical staff juggles. Calvin has been dealing with as-yet undiagnosed stomach pains that have been challenging for him but he was able to fully enjoy camp while being cared for as needed by the medical team. We are very grateful.

Appreciate the decision but wonder if there could be an option to ensure an illness isnt a fast mover so potentially not get sent home. Respect how thats a tough call though.

My daughter had to make daily trips for an incident with a rash. Her treatment varied from day to day as the nursing staff were disagreeing on what she needed (cortisone, anti fungal, both, trip to urgent care, etc). She mentioned that some seemed young and likely untrained/students.

Unfortunately Charlotte needed services this year. The first nurse we had contact with, Ginny, was excellent. Very kind, warm, and effective. However, whoever took over for week 6 was not ideal. There was no communication about Charlotte's status and the information Charlotte was told to pass along to us at pick up was confusing for us and turned out to be inaccurate (though caused us to have to contact our physician after hours to ensure the medication was correct).
